St. Francois, MO (October 18, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred on October 17, 2024, at approximately 4:50 PM at the intersection of US-67 and Rte Y. The St. Francois County authorities were called to the scene to investigate the incident involving two vehicles.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, driven by 20-year-old Landon J. Crawford from Wappapello, MO, changed lanes and struck a 2012 Honda Civic operated by 42-year-old David M. McMeekekan from Farmington, MO. The impact resulted in extensive damage to the Honda Civic, while the Chevrolet Silverado sustained moderate damage.
Emergency responders from St. Francois County transported Mr. McMeekekan to Mercy Hospital South for treatment of moderate injuries. Fortunately, Mr. Crawford was uninjured in the collision. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Marlers Towing.
