St. George, UT (October 18, 2024) – A two-vehicle crash occurred Thursday morning at the intersection of South Dixie Drive and Stonebridge Drive, resulting in injuries to one driver and a passenger. The incident was reported shortly after 9 a.m. and involved a red Ford Focus and a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following initial reports that suggested multiple occupants may have been injured. According to St. George Police Officer Tiffany Mitchell, two juveniles sustained minor injuries and were transported to St. George Regional Hospital by ambulance for evaluation and care.

At the time of the accident, the driver of the Ford Focus was stopped at the stop sign on Stonebridge Drive, preparing to make a left-hand turn onto Dixie Drive. The driver of the Jeep was stopped on the opposite side of Stonebridge Drive, facing west, intending to proceed straight across Dixie Drive.

The Ford driver reported to officers that she did not see any traffic in the roadway when she attempted to make the turn. Unfortunately, this resulted in the Ford colliding with the Jeep, which was traveling straight through the intersection. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were later moved from the roadway to allow traffic to resume.

The Ford Focus driver was cited for failing to yield at the stop sign. The St. George Police Department dispatched multiple patrol units to the scene, while the St. George Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance also responded to assist with the incident.
