St. James, NY (November 05, 2022) – Six people were injured in a construction site collapse in Suffolk County on Thursday, November 3rd on Middle Country Road at about 1:30 p.m.

A storage facility for a car dealership was undergoing renovations when an entire cinderblock wall that was being demolished came crashing down. Some of the workers who were on a lift when the wall collapsed were thrown into the air, then fell to the ground with the cinderblocks on top of the. 

A total of six people were injured. Three of them are currently in critical condition. 

OSHA will be investigating the cause of the incident.
