St. Joseph, MO – Collision at the intersection of the South Belt Hwy and Pear St Claims 1 Life

St. Joseph, MO (July 24, 2023) – On Saturday afternoon, July 22, 2023, tragedy struck St. Joseph when a fatal vehicle crash occurred at the South Belt Highway and Pear Street intersection at 10:20 a.m.

The collision involved a Toyota Corolla and a motorcycle, losing one resident’s life.

According to the St. Joseph police, Clayton Loubey, the motorcyclist, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Corolla suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic Hospital for treatment.

The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.

Further details surrounding the incident are yet to be released as the investigation is ongoing.
