Wrong-Way Crashes in Missouri
Wrong-way accidents are among the most dangerous types of crashes due to the high-speed, head-on impact. These incidents often result from driver impairment, confusion, or entering the wrong ramp or highway lane. Interstate highways, particularly interchanges like I-270 and I-55, are high-risk locations for wrong-way collisions.
Victims of these crashes may suffer severe or fatal injuries, leaving families to face medical expenses, lost wages, and emotional distress. Under Missouri law, those injured or the families of those killed due to another driver’s negligence may have legal options to seek compensation.
To prevent wrong-way crashes, drivers should remain alert when entering highway ramps, follow posted directional signs, and report any suspected wrong-way drivers to authorities immediately.
If you or a loved one has been affected by a wrong-way accident, seeking legal guidance may be crucial.
