St. Louis, MO (December 4, 2024) – A rear-end collision on December 3rd, 2024, involving a Saturn Aura and an International HV507 left two individuals with injuries. The incident occurred on Northbound US-67, south of Riverlands Way, at approximately 12:45 PM.
According to the Missouri State Police, the driver of a 2020 International HV507, a 63-year-old male from Saint Louis, MO, had stopped in the northbound lane with his emergency lights and electric signal active, blocking Lane 1. As the vehicle remained stationary, the driver of a 2009 Saturn Aura, a 20-year-old female from Winfield, MO, failed to slow down while approaching the stopped truck. The Saturn struck the rear of the truck, causing both vehicles to come to a stop, still blocking Lane 1, facing north.
Emergency responders from Christian EMS were quick to arrive on the scene, providing care to the injured victims. Both the female driver of the Saturn and the male driver of the truck sustained injuries. The 20-year-old was transported to Christian Northeast Hospital, while the 63-year-old was also taken to the same facility for medical attention.
Both vehicles suffered significant damage in the crash. The Saturn Aura was towed by A2B Towing, and the International truck was towed by Platinum Towing.
