St. Louis, MO (October 24, 2024) – A vehicle accident occurred early Thursday morning, resulting in injuries. At approximately 3:25 a.m., emergency responders were alerted to the scene on Eastbound MO 370, just east of MO 141.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident involved two vehicles. A 2010 Toyota Camry, driven by 60-year-old Garry Henry from St. Louis, MO, was traveling eastbound when it struck the rear of a 2024 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by 43-year-old Tommy Cooper, also from St. Louis, MO. The force of the collision caused moderate damage to the Toyota, which was subsequently towed from the scene by A2B Towing. The Chevrolet Avalanche sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene by its driver.
Garry Henry sustained injuries in the accident and was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis by Robertson Fire Protection District for medical evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, Tommy Cooper was not reported to have sustained any injuries.
According to the investigation, the driver of the Toyota was distracted and failed to maintain a proper lookout for the Chevrolet, leading to the collision. Emergency responders managed the scene and ensured the safety of all involved.
