Rains from Festus, MO, sustained total damage and was towed by Miner's Towing. Rains was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident. His passenger, 68-year-old Denice M. Rains, also from Festus, MO, suffered serious injuries and was transported by Mehlville Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital South for medical treatment.
The second vehicle involved was a 2018 Infiniti Q50, which also sustained total damage and was towed by Miner's Towing. The driver of the Infiniti has not been identified, and details regarding their injuries remain unknown. Reports indicate that the occupants of the Infiniti fled the scene following the accident.
