Sunrise Manor, NV (August 20, 2020) – On Tuesday night, August 18, a pedestrian was killed in a vehicle collision in the Sunrise Manor area.
Initial reports revealed that the crash occurred near the intersection of N. Nellis Boulevard and Judson Avenue at around 9:44 p.m. on northeast Las Vegas. First responders and local law enforcement officials were called to the scene of a crash with injuries involving a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was reportedly collecting scrap metal at the intersection at the time of the accident. The pedestrian was struck by a southbound 2005 Hyundai sport-utility vehicle traveling on N. Nellis Boulevard. The 55-year-old driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Authorities reported that neither speeding nor intoxication were believed to be involved in the accident. The identity of the deceased party has not been released at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
