Syracuse, NY (December 4, 2022) – An 11-year-old child lost their life in a traffic accident on State Route 8 in Brookfield, Madison County on Monday, November 28, New York State Police reported. 

Authorities stated they were sent to a two-car accident shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28. Once they arrived, they found a 2003 Subaru Forester that hit a 2001 Ford Flatbed Truck with a vehicle on the flatbed that was partially parked on the road. 

Information from police shows that an 11-year-old backseat passenger was ejected from the Subaru and pronounced deceased on-site. A 9-year-old backseat passenger and the driver sustained no injuries in the accident.
