Syracuse, NY (May 11, 2023) – A person was trapped in their vehicle after a collision on Thursday afternoon, May 11th, in the South Side of Syracuse according to firefighters.
The accident happened around 2:51 p.m. at the intersection of South Salina Street and Seneca Turnpike, and involved a car and a pickup truck. According to a Facebook post by the Syracuse Fire Department, the driver of the car was trapped and the roof had to be removed using the jaws of life.
After being freed, the driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
