Georgia Traffic Accidents
Thousands of people are involved and injured in Georgia traffic accidents every single year. In 2016, it was estimated that approximately 1,554 fatalities took place due to automobile collisions in the Peach State. This is an 8.5% increase from the previous year. On average, there are approximately 100,000 Georgia injury accidents that take place every single year. Each week, over 30 people are killed in catastrophic auto accidents in Georgia. In reference to these and other traffic-related statistics for the Peach State, automobile accidents are an unfortunately common occurrence there.
Regrettably, most of these accidents are caused by driver negligence, like speeding and intoxication. However, currently, the leading cause of Georgia car accidents is failing to utilize a turning signal, which is also another form of driver negligence.
