Giles County, TN (July 10, 2020) – At approximately 9:40 a.m., on July 7, the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 64.
Reports from the THP show that 61-year-old Lisa Burke was traveling east on US Highway 64 when her vehicle collided with a second vehicle, driven by 39-year-old Cynthia Hughes, head-on. The impact of the crash caused the first vehicle to spin around clockwise before coming to rest facing north. Both women were killed instantly in the accident. At this time, THP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
