Pedestrian Accidents in Tennessee
Around 80 pedestrians are injured in auto collisions each month in Tennessee. Although occupants of motor vehicles are protected by the steel frames of their cars, pedestrians lack this type of protection. As a result, many victims injured in accidents suffer traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and spinal cord injuries in accidents. Numerous pedestrians are forced into area hospitals where they require immediate medical treatment for their injuries.
Given the vulnerability of pedestrians against other vehicles, these victims are more likely to suffer from permanent disabilities as a result of their injuries. Numerous victims are forced out of work indefinitely and require ongoing medical treatment. Although there are many treatment options available for victims, they are extremely expensive. Victims should never be forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on the treatment they need resulting from a preventable accident. When pedestrians are injured in accidents, due to the reckless actions of others, they should contact a pedestrian accident attorney in Tennessee as soon as possible to explore legal options available to them.
