Mt. Juliet, TN (September 05, 2020) – Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed reports claiming that a woman died and a man sustained critical injuries during a car accident in Wilson County.
The two-vehicle accident took place on Golden Bear Gateway at the intersection for Rutland Drive at about 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4th near Mt. Juliet.
As indicated by state troopers, 53-year-old Tonya Langley was waiting at a stop sign at the Rutland Drive intersection at the same time that a 17-year-old was traveling in the northbound lane of Golden Bear Gateway. A report filed by local law enforcement states that Langley pulled out in front of the teenager’s vehicle causing a collision.
Langley passed away on her way to the hospital. The passenger in her vehicle is reported to be in critical condition.
