Tonkawa, OK (September 18, 2023) – A Tonkawa man suffered injuries in a solo vehicle crash at 7:25 a.m., September 18, 2023, at the intersection of South 13th Street and West Oakland Ave.

Stephen Earl Green, 66, drove west on Oakland Ave. in a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice. He didn’t stop at a sign, sending his car 240 feet into a ditch.

Tonkawa Ambulance transported Green to a Blackwell hospital. He remains in fair condition with head injuries.

Troopers attribute the crash to inattention and failure to yield.

The investigation is still ongoing.
