Tracy, CA (July 13, 2023) – On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, shortly after 6:00 p.m., a tragic car accident occurred on State Route 4 near Tracy Boulevard, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident involved a 2001 Honda Accord and a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
According to CHP traffic officers, a 43-year-old Stockton man drove the Honda eastbound on SR-4, while a 53-year-old Brentwood man drove the Ford westbound.
The Ford driver crossed the double yellow lines and hit the Honda head-on for unknown reasons.
The Honda driver died at the crash site, while the Ford driver received moderate injuries at San Joaquin General Hospital.
CHP has not made any arrests in connection with this fatal accident.
The investigation is still ongoing.
