The vehicle involved was a maroon Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 71-year-old man who sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His passenger, 35-year-old Andrea Christine Wasson, was also taken to the hospital but suffered life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, Wasson succumbed to her injuries on October 18.
