Union Mills, MD (May 25, 2023) – The Maryland State Police confirmed that 37-year-old Antonio Jhamel Farmer of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, lost his life as a result of a car crash that took place in the Union Mills area.
At around 11:23 p.m. on May 21, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on Littlestown Pike.
Reports from authorities indicate that a collision took place on the roadway during the evening hours. The impact of a crash caused the vehicle to strike a guardrail before going over the roadway and down an embankment near old Hanover Road. The vehicle then overturned.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Farmer, was ejected from the vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased after arriving at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Maryland.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old woman, was injured. She was transported to Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Police believe alcohol may have played a role in the accident. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
