Verona, MO (July 8, 2023) – On Thursday, July 6, 2023, around 9:45 a.m., Lawrence E-911 received reports of a severe accident on US-60 near Verona.
MSgt S.C. Jones of the Missouri State Highway Patrol informed KOAM’s Shannon Becker about the head-on collision involving two vehicles.
The responsible driver, 38-year-old Jared Lueders, was traveling eastbound on US-60 in a 2013 Ford F150 when he veered across the center line, leading to the crash.
Emergency services quickly transported Lueders to Mercy Springfield due to the seriousness of his injuries.
Following medical care, Lueders faced charges of Felony DWI and C&I Driving.
Jim Carr Towing and Certified Auto Towing were responsible for clearing the crash site and removing vehicles and debris.
To facilitate the investigation and clean-up process, Aurora Police closed US-60 in both directions for approximately two hours.
