Virginia Beach, VA (September 19, 2023) – A motorcycle accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, on the 1900 block of South Independence Boulevard.

This crash site is near Lynnhaven Parkway’s intersection. Police confirmed one person died in the incident.

It remains unclear if other vehicles were involved or if more people were injured.

A traffic alert was issued shortly after the accident, closing the road between Dahlia Drive and Nesbitt Drive. By 2:20 p.m., the road reopened.

The investigation is still ongoing.
