Virginia Beach, VA (May 17, 2023) – The Virginia Beach Police Department confirmed that three people were left with injuries following a car crash that took place on Friday evening.
On May 13, the Virginia Beach police department was called to the scene of a crash on Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Preliminary investigations show that 22-year-old Samuel Sutton was driving an SUV westbound on Virginia Beach Boulevard when his vehicle crashed into a sedan as it attempted to turn onto Nelms Lane.
Sutton and his passenger, as well as the driver of the sedan, all suffered injuries. The three victims were transported to area hospitals.
Sutton was later charged with driving under the influence of drugs as well as reckless driving. Additional charges could be pending.
Investigations are currently underway.
