Danville, VA (September 23, 2020) – One person sustained injuries when a car crashed through a building in the city of Danville on Tuesday, September 22nd.
According to initial reports from the Danville Fire Department, emergency crews reported to the scene of the injury accident, which took place in front of Laundry Land in the 800 block of Westover Drive at about 7:15 p.m.
Upon their arrival, rescuers discovered that damage had been sustained by the entrance of the building and that the driver of the vehicle had remained at the scene and was parked in the company parking lot.
The sole occupant of the vehicle was unharmed during the collision.
An employee who was working when the crash occurred did suffer unspecified injuries and was transported via ambulance to Southern Virginia Regional Health by the Danville Life Saving Crew. The employee’s injuries were classified as non-life-threatening.
The Danville Police Department is managing the investigation of this accident.
