Fairfax, VA – Car Crash Requires EMT Response on I-66

Fairfax, VA (October 9, 2020) – EMTs and other first responders were called to assist at the scene of a collision that occurred on an interstate in Fairfax this evening. 

At approximately 7:24 p.m., a call concerning an auto accident on Interstate 66 was made to the police who were on the scene of the collision a few moments later. 

Police stated the wreck occurred on I-66 at mile marker 53 about .2 miles west of VA-28, exit 53. 

EMTs were dispatched to the crash scene so that medical aid could be rendered to anyone hurt in the collision, however, the total number of injured victims has not been disclosed at this time. 

The severity and nature of any injuries sustained in the accident have yet to be determined. 

No one involved in the incident has been publicly identified at this time. 

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident and its surrounding circumstances is currently underway.
