Henrico County, VA (September 2, 2020) – An unspecified number of people were injured in an auto accident that took place on a roadway in Henrico County this afternoon. 

Local law enforcement officials, paramedics, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the wreck that occurred in the southbound lanes of I-295 near mile marker 42.9 approximately one mile north of US-301S. 

Emergency medical technicians assisted those with injuries at the scene of the accident, although it is currently unclear how many people were hurt in the wreck. Anyone involved has yet to be identified by police, and the severity and scope of any injuries suffered have yet to be made public. 

Closures were issued in the southbound travel lanes for a period of time after the collision occurred causing delays on Interstate 295 for approximately two miles from the site of the crash. 

No further details have been disclosed at this time concerning the circumstances of the wreck, as little information has been made public at this time.
