Henrico County, VA – House Fire Injures Two Firefighters in Wyndham

Henrico County, VA (August 4, 2020) – Two firefighters were injured while battling a house fire that occurred at a residence in the Wyndham neighborhood of Henrico County this past Saturday afternoon. 

Fire crews were dispatched to the 6000 block of Collinstone Drive around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1 concerning a house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed a heavy blaze coming from the roof of the house. 

Two individuals who were home at the time of the fire were able to exit the building safely, according to officials who were present at the scene. 

Two firefighters, however, were injured during their job’s voluntary duties while battling the blaze. The home’s second floor and roof sustained significant damage due to the flames, according to officials. 

The reason the fire occurred remains under local authority investigation at the present time. 

The identities of anyone involved in the fire have not been currently released.
