Henry County, VA (July 26, 2020) – A fatal pedestrian crash took the life of one female this past Wednesday in Henry County.

According to authorities, the crash happened on Route 688 just east of Route 692 at approximately 10:30 p.m. when a Chevrolet Venture was headed west on Route 688 and struck a pedestrian who was in the travel lane. 

Police continue their investigation into why the accident took place. Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. 

The driver of the Chevrolet remained at the scene of the collision and rendered aid in the investigation. 

The area of the roadway where the collision took place was shut down for a period of time following to allow authorities to carry out an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. 

No further details have been disclosed at the present time.
