Page Co, VA (August 27, 2020) – Virginia State Troopers are looking into a deadly three-car accident that took place on Monday, August 24th at around 3:55 p.m. along West Main Street.
As stated in a press release issued by the Virginia State Police, Cody S. Brown, 25, a resident of Stanley, was heading westbound West Main Street at a high rate of speed on a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle when, for reasons that have yet to be determined, the motorcycle swerved across the solid centerline attempting to pass the car in front of it, causing it to collide with a 2011 Toyota Camry turning into a strip mall.
The force of the impact also caused the Toyota to collide with a 2014 Ford F-150 stopped at the exit for the shopping center.
Brown was ejected from his bike and sustained injuries that were classified as life-threatening. He was transported via ambulance to UVA Medical Center for emergency care.
Brown was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident.
The passenger on the motorcycle. LaDonna C. Norris, 26, also a resident of Stanley, was ejected from the bike as well. She was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries. She was transported to Page Memorial Hospital for ongoing medical treatment.
An infant also in the Toyota was unharmed during the accident.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
