Voorheesville, NY (July 10, 2023) – A fatal fire incident was reported in Albany County on Saturday that claimed the lives of multiple victims.
At around 5:15 a.m. on July 8, the Albany County Sheriff’s office and firefighters out of Voorheesville were called to the scene of a major fire incident on Normanskill Road.
Reports show that a house located at 64 Normanskill Road caught on fire during the early morning hours. Authorities rushed to the scene to battle the blaze. A five-year-old girl, a 40-year-old woman, a 64-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man all suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old boy was able to escape out of the window. He was treated for injuries at Albany Medical Center.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
