Warrick County, IN (December 10, 2024) – A serious T-bone collision occurred Tuesday morning around 8:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of State Road 66 at Sharon Road in Warrick County. The crash resulted in life-threatening injuries for two individuals and led to significant traffic disruptions in the area.
According to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred when vehicles attempted to beat a yellow light. A truck struck a black sedan, causing it to be crushed between the truck and a nearby pole. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene, and the two individuals in the sedan were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
Authorities have closed the westbound lanes of State Road 66 to allow for a reconstruction of the crash, and the closure is expected to last until at least 10:30 a.m. while crews work at the scene.
