Washington County, MD (April 8, 2023) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following an automobile accident that took place in Washington County on Thursday morning, April 6.
At around 7:07 a.m., authorities were notified that vehicles collided on the eastbound side of Interstate 70. The state police and firefighters responded to the scene and shut down multiple lanes in the area near mile marker 35.
Emergency crews went to work quickly on removing the damaged vehicles and debris from the road.
Paramedics were called to the scene to care for the victims who suffered injuries. Those who required further medical care were transported to local hospitals.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
