Washington, MO (October 26, 2024) – A significant traffic accident occurred on Missouri 47 near Cedar Hills Road at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Friday, October 25, resulting in injuries to multiple individuals. The incident involved two vehicles: a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2004 Jeep Cherokee.
According to the crash report investigated by TPR. Z.C. Crumley, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, 18-year-old Blayn A. Perry from Blackwell, MO, was stopped on northbound Missouri 47, preparing to make a left turn onto Cedar Hills Road. At the same time, the Jeep Cherokee, driven by 40-year-old Terry E. Smith from Richwoods, MO, was traveling southbound on Missouri 47. As Perry began his left turn, he entered the pathway of the oncoming Jeep, resulting in a collision where the front of the Jeep struck the front of the Silverado.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene. The 16-year-old male occupant of the Silverado sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Ambulance Service. Additionally, 31-year-old Sierra D. Reando, an occupant of the Jeep, also suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the same hospital for treatment. Smith, the driver of the Jeep, sustained serious injuries and was similarly transported to the hospital.
