Webster, NY – Sheldon Wethington Dies in Crash on Rt 104

Webster, NY (October 10, 2020) – A man died and two children sustained injuries on Wednesday, October 7th during a car accident in the town of Webster.

According to the New York State Police, the accident took place on Route 104 East on the access road leading from Hard Road and Five Mile Line Road at about 10:00 a.m.

As stated by troopers attending the scene, Sheldon Wethington, 28, was driving with a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old in the car with him. Their relation to the driver has not been made immediately clear.

As Wethington attempted to exit Route 104 at Hard Road, his car swerved off the south side of the roadway, veered across the access lanes, and struck a ditch. The vehicle rolled over several times before it came to a stop.

Wethington was transported via ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead a short while later.

Both of the children were also transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for emergency medical treatment for their injuries, which were classified as non-life-threatening.

This accident is still under police investigation at this time.
