Westerleigh, NY (April 7, 2023) – Authorities say that an FDNY Fire Prevention vehicle overturned due to the impact of a collision that occurred in the Westerleigh area of Staten Island. It happened early on Thursday morning, April 6th, at the intersection of Collfield and Waters Avenues.
According to reports, a Fire Prevention vehicle was involved in a crash at around 3:25 a.m., and the impact left the vehicle overturned onto its roof. Emergency crews were called to the scene, where they arrived to assist those involved.
At least one other vehicle was damaged, and paramedics helped the wounded parties. Those who required additional treatment were taken to nearby hospitals as needed, but no further details are available at this time.
The events that caused the crash are under investigation.
