Westerleigh, NY (June 1, 2021) – According to authorities, at least two firefighters suffered various injuries during a fire incident that was reported early on Tuesday morning, June 1st. It happened on Muller Avenue in the Westerleigh neighborhood of Staten Island.

Local officials say that an all-hands fire broke out inside of a home located at 111 Muller Avenue at around 12:12 a.m. Crews arrived at the two-story home a short time later and took approximately one hour to get the fire under control.

EMTs transported two firefighters to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton with injuries that were reported as non-life-threatening. At this time, the events that led to the fire are under investigation.
