Wheaton, MD (January 26, 2023) – A traffic collision took place in the Wheaton area that left one person injured. On January 25, the Montgomery County Police Department responded to a traffic crash on Dellwood Drive at approximately 11:20 a.m. 
According to authorities, a collision took place in the 12,400 block of Dalewood Drive near Everton Street. One vehicle involved in the accident when off the roadway and landed on a baseball field after rolling over.
One person, identified as a teenager, became trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters with the Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue Service responded to extricate the victim.
The teen was provided care at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of priority two traumatic injuries.
The police department is investigating the accident at this time.
