White Haven, PA (September 19, 2023) – At 4:32 p.m. on Rt 940 & Walter Dam Rd, a fatal two-vehicle crash occurred.

KTPD, Districts 16, 17, & 22, and multiple EMS units responded.

Two patients were heavily trapped and unresponsive.

Lehighton EMS 56-18 arrived on scene at 4:43 p.m.

By 4:48 p.m., two helicopters were requested for the entrapped patients.

LifeFlight 6 had a 6-8 minute ETA by 5:00 p.m.

Lehighton EMS 56-19 reported arriving at 5:02 p.m.

At 5:17 p.m., EMS 56-18 reached the LZ.

By 5:18 p.m., a firefighter drove an ambulance to the nearest hospital as a patient suffered traumatic arrest.

The investigation is still ongoing.
