Wichita, KS (October 14, 2024) – A traffic accident involving four vehicles occurred on northbound I-135, resulting in serious injuries to one individual. The incident took place around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, approximately one mile south of 61st Street North.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident was triggered when three vehicles were stopped in traffic due to a prior crash ahead. The driver of a Ford truck failed to stop in time and collided with the rear of a Nissan Altima, which subsequently caused a chain reaction, leading to collisions with the two vehicles behind it.
The driver of the third vehicle, a 44-year-old man from Texas, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Fortunately, the other three drivers involved in the accident were not injured.
