Windsor, VA (March 23, 2023) – An automobile accident took place in Isle of Wight County that claimed one person’s life on Monday evening, March 20.
At around 8:20 p.m., a 2007 Dodge Caravan was traveling south on Lovers Lane. For unknown reasons, the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign as it made a left turn at Windsor Boulevard, US Route 460.
As the vehicle turned, it collided with a 2011 Ford Edge.
One person involved in the accident, 76-year-old Lorinza Thomas Boone, was severely harmed. He was transported to Sentara Obici Hospital, where he later passed away from his injuries.
A 16-year-old female and an 8-year-old both suffered injuries in the accident.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
