Wise County, TX – Motorcycle Crash at US-81 and County Road 4228 Results in Fatality

Wise County, TX ( July 17, 2023) – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has reported a tragic motorcycle crash resulting in the death of 47-year-old Joseph Nunez from College Station.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at 1:17 PM at the intersection of US-81 and County Road 4228 in Wise County.

According to authorities, the driver of a Dodge Dakota failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign on County Road 4228, colliding with Nunez, who was travelling on US-81.

Nunez was airlifted to Wise Health System Hospital in Decatur but was unfortunately pronounced dead.

The DPS has launched an ongoing investigation into the crash.
