Wolf Township, PA (July 18, 2023) – On Monday, July 17, 2023, Wolf Township had a fatal three-vehicle crash.
Investigators found a pickup truck rear-ended a Jeep SUV just after noon, sending it into a tractor-trailer traveling east.
The Jeep rolled over, trapping 80-year-old John Lesher of Gratz, Pennsylvania, who was killed.
80-year-old Jeep driver Laura Lesher was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with injuries.
Two other passengers, 11- and 16-year-old girls, suffered minor injuries.
33-year-old Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, pickup truck driver Shayne Stanford and his passengers were uninjured.
The Tractor-trailer driver also survived.
The fatal crash is under investigation.
