Woodbridge, VA – Hit-and-Run on I-95 Near MM 156 Results in Tractor-Trailer Driver Fatality

Woodbridge, VA (November 20, 2023) – A fatal hit-and-run collision involving a sedan and a tractor-trailer occurred early Sunday morning, November 19, in Prince William County. The crash happened on the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near mile marker 156 in the Woodbridge area.

Virginia State Police report that the tractor-trailer struck an overpass support pillar following the collision. The impact caused the trailer to rupture, spilling its contents onto the highway. The truck driver tragically died at the scene.

The sedan driver initially received medical attention but fled the ambulance and escaped from the crash site.

The investigation into this devastating incident is actively continuing.
