York County, VA (February 2, 2023) – A bicyclist reportedly lost his life as a result of a car crash that occurred in York County on Monday morning, January 30.
At approximately 11:42 a.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a crash on Old Williamsburg Road.
VSP reports show that 63-year-old Alvester Fields was riding a bicycle west on old Williamsburg Road. For reasons unknown, he was struck by a 2009 Kia Sorrento, which was driven by 42-year-old Jennifer Pendleton.
Pendleton was uninjured as a result of the accident.
Fields suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The state police in Virginia are currently investigating the accident.
