Los Molinos, CA (November 14, 2025) – A serious crash involving a semi-truck and a minivan left two women injured Wednesday afternoon on Highway 99 north of Los Molinos, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 near 3rd Avenue. Investigators say a minivan had slowed to make a left turn when a logging semi-truck traveling behind it failed to stop in time and slammed into the rear of the vehicle.
The impact caused significant damage to the back of the minivan, while the semi-truck sustained only minor damage. Two women were inside the van when the crash occurred. The passenger suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency care. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was also transported to the hospital.
The semi-truck driver was not injured in the crash.
Both directions of Highway 99 were temporarily shut down to allow emergency crews to access the scene and provide aid. The roadway has since been reopened as the investigation continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured women, and we wish them both a full and speedy recovery.
