Stockton, CA (January 1, 2026) – Emergency crews were called to a significant multi-vehicle collision with injuries on Interstate 5 southbound, just north of the Monte Diablo Ave offramp, early on December 31. The California Highway Patrol classified the incident as a major injury crash, with initial reports indicating as many as six vehicles were involved.
Responding units arrived at the scene shortly after 2:30 a.m. and found a chaotic situation involving several disabled vehicles, including a silver Honda Civic and a white pickup truck.
