Los Angeles, CA (January 3, 2026) – A bicyclist was injured in a felony hit-and-run crash reported near the intersection of Imperial Hwy and S Central Ave. The collision occurred around 6:15 p.m., prompting a multi-agency response from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, and Downey Fire personnel.
First responders, including paramedics and fire crews, provided care to the injured bicyclist after the crash. According to dispatch audio, the victim was riding near the intersection when he was struck by a white Chevrolet truck. The driver of the truck fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
Authorities have classified the case as a felony hit-and-run. The investigation is ongoing, and officials are working to locate the suspect vehicle and driver. No further information about the victim’s condition has been released at this time.
