Sarasota, FL (January 7, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to an injury crash early Wednesday afternoon at a busy Sarasota intersection. The incident took place around 2:07 p.m. at Bailey Rd and Fruitville Rd, a well-traveled corridor just east of the city’s core.
Personnel from Sarasota County Fire Department Station 5 were dispatched to the scene, where multiple individuals sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Medics provided on-site treatment, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The severity of the injuries has not yet been made public.
