Omaha, NE (January 7, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision early Monday morning left one person injured after a driver rear-ended a semi-truck on N 30th St in Omaha. The crash occurred just before 5 a.m. and prompted a response from Omaha Fire Department units and police.
The driver, a 20-year-old male, reportedly suffered a foot injury after slamming on the brakes in an attempt to avoid the collision. Emergency crews from Medic 21 and Engine 23 arrived to find the injured individual awake, alert, and breathing at the scene. He was evaluated and treated by paramedics for his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening.
Both vehicles remained upright and in the inside lane of N 30th St. Firefighters established command on-site while investigators assessed the situation and ensured the roadway was safe for other drivers. The semi-truck involved did not appear to have any major structural damage.
