Springfield, MO (January 8, 2026) – A traffic collision was reported early Wednesday morning near the intersection of W Mount Vernon St and Campbell Ave in Springfield. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene around 7:35 a.m. following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Initial radio communications indicated one individual involved in the crash was experiencing hearing difficulty following the impact. Medics were called to the scene out of precaution, but emergency personnel later confirmed that those involved declined further medical treatment, and EMS units were canceled.
Although the injuries were reported as minor, the incident caused brief disruptions in the area during the morning commute. Fire crews remained on site to ensure safety and assist with clearing the roadway.
Authorities continue to assess the circumstances surrounding the crash.
