Dulzura, CA (January 8, 2026) – A deadly collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred early Thursday morning on State Route 94, just in front of the fire station at 17304 SR-94 near Avocado Blvd. Emergency responders confirmed one fatality at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol began receiving reports around 8:43 a.m. of a motorcycle down in the roadway. First responders from the nearby fire station were among the first to arrive. Despite rapid efforts by paramedics and fire personnel, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at 8:56 a.m. by a doctor from Grossmont Hospital.
Initial information indicates the crash involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, though the exact circumstances are still under investigation. Officials noted significant trauma and originally requested air support due to the severity of the victim’s condition. However, the fatality was confirmed before a helicopter could arrive.
A full SigAlert was issued by CHP due to both lanes of SR-94 being blocked. Multiple tow companies, including County Wide and Speedee Towing, were called in for evidence tows, and traffic delays extended for several hours. CHP units remained on the scene to manage traffic and conduct a thorough investigation.
